Tinkerer. Strategist. Builder of Things…

Detours are where the real learning happens — where unexpected disciplines collide, borrowed tools solve unfamiliar problems, and a decade spent deep in enterprise technology turns out to be exactly the preparation this “technogenic” creative strategist needed. Straight line careers can feel boringly one-dimensional. On my path to the present, whenever possible, it seems I have always elected for the challenges of dips and turns.

A natural explorer by both habit and passion, for me the journey has always been as much the experience as the destination. The curiosity that pulled me sideways into distance learning systems, then into enterprise architecture, then into Agentic AI research — that’s the same curiosity that drives the creative work. It’s all one thing, viewed from different angles.

I’m a creative strategist, enterprise architect, and brand counselor with thirty years of experience at the intersection of creativity, technology, and organizational strategy. I founded and led The Bloom Agency — an award-winning creative and interactive agency in Washington, DC — and spent fourteen years at Cisco Systems as a Senior Learning Systems Engineer, Enterprise Business Architect, and Technical Product Owner. I now work at the intersection of those two chapters, bringing creative intelligence and enterprise-scale analytical discipline to the organizations and leaders I work with.

The work here reflects that range. The Creative Portfolio shows three decades of identity design, advertising, interactive, print, and environmental media — from national rebrands to passion projects. The Strategy and AI section reflects current thinking on enterprise transformation, connected architecture, and the emerging Agentic AI landscape.

Away from client work, I serve on the board of directors of Vélocity Bicycle Co-op — a Washington, DC-area 501(c)(3) — where I am the organization’s visual identity steward and volunteer workshop quartermaster, among other teaching, mentoring, and community leadership roles. I am actively interested in additional board opportunities — particularly with organizations navigating brand, communications, technology, or strategic transformation challenges where a creative and analytical perspective at the governance level would add genuine value.

If something here resonates — or if you want to talk about what comes next — I would be glad to hear from you. You can learn more about my background on the About Keith Bloom page.
